Connected Parenting Series
A 6 week Class and Discussion/Practice Group series beginning October 11th and ending November 15th
$60 per person, $85 per couple

Meets once per week for 1.25 hours per week. This group is focused on the primacy of connection in parenting children of all ages and on parenting without punishments or rewards. Look deeply past difficult behaviors to discover the underlying needs of our children (and ourselves), and begin to use concrete tools to respond effectively to parenting challenges. Incorporates concepts from the work of Alfie Kohn, Lawrence J. Cohen, Dr. Gordon Nuefeld, and Mary Sheedy Kurchinka as well as the professional and personal experience of Lyla and Emily.

We would love to take this class as a couple (I think sometimes you need to both be on the same page, YK?) but the time is really inconvenient for us to both come. Hopefully it will be offered again at another time!

As a working mama, it doesn't work for me. I don't think DH will do another class without me.

thanks for your feedback mamas! Lyla and I have talked about offering an evening/weekend course in the winter/spring. We envisioned this as more of a support/study group for mamas who are perhaps currently struggling with parenting and don't want to use punishments or rewards, or are unsure of where to take AP past the preschool years, etc.

BTW, the childcare at Zenana is AWESOME!
