Hi!

DW and I lived in the East Bay prior to moving back east to Boston. We're returning at the end of the month for a 10 day visit with our 4yo. We just realized, though, that we have no idea what to do out there with a kid!

We'd love some suggestions.

Thoughts so far include the Bay Area Discovery Museum, Lawrence Hall of Science, parks in Berkeley, Tilden.

But what else? In particular we're looking for good parks in SF. There's one in the Castro off of Steiner that was good last time we came, but so many were super old (we're spoiled with a great park every few blocks here). So we'd love some more ideas.

Thanks!

There was a thread, I believe in TAO about a month ago about visiting the Bay Area. Lots of great suggestions in there if you can find it.

my 4yo likes the Vivarium in Berkeley. it's the biggest reptile store in the world or something, so it's like a tiny zoo- but free to visit.

also, hiking in Tilden and the aircraft carrier in Alameda.
