I'm tired of buying ziploc freezer bags all the time. What do you use for freezer storage? I looked on http://www.reusablebags.com but didn't see any specified okay for the freezer.

thanks!
You can freeze things in glass canning ball jars made for the freezer - they have sides which are straight and have a wider mouth than base.

I also reuse freezer bags. Depends on what was in it before, I don't reuse ones with raw meat or ones that don't clean up well (sloppy joes comes to mind).

You can also wrap things in freezer paper, but I suppose that doesn't help with the reusable part.

I'm not sure, I've never used them, just read about them in the ball canning book I think you can make jellies and jams in the freezer and they had recipes and a description of the jar. Doing a search I'm not sure if they still sell them because a search for 'ball glass freezer canning jar' brings up a lot of antiques. So I'm not sure. This is the kind I am thinking of: http://www.trocadero.com/myantiquega...tem543813.html

Maybe start a new topic either here or in nutrition with freezre canning jars in the topic to find someone who maybe knows more about it?
