Okay I Would like to know how many of you reuse the same towel. And if so how many times do you use it before washing it? I Relize we waste so much and I dont reuse my towels. DH will take two showers a day but he only uses one towel a day. I dont know why I dont really I mean I am clean when I use them so they should be fine agian but I am unsure of how many times would be good to use before finally washing them.So anyone??

We re-use towels several times before washing them. I don't have any idea how many because I don't count but it's usually more than once and less than seven. I guess I wash bathroom towels about once a week or so and each person has his or her own towel.
I really only use my towel to dry my hair a bit and since it is clean from my shower I will reuse a towel quite a few times before washing it.
My husband and I only use ours for a few days each but the kids use the same towel for at least a week. As long as they don't smell and are hung up to dry after use then everything is good. Everyone has a particular hook in the bathroom that belongs to them so that we don't get any cross usage.
we hang ours too, i am also not sure of how many times i use them before i wash either :giggle i find that soooo amusing...

we hang them to dry between baths or showers, we generally shower daily. the kids shower every other day or so, depending on what they have been up to or in to
as long as they <<the towels, not the kids>> arent smelly or still wet we use them... we dont have all our own towels specific, although dp tends to grab a clean one when he hops in... or rather calls to me to get him one, lol.

I reuse mine several times - probably 3 or 4.

My husband on the other hand...I actually prefer that he not reuse his. Yes, he's clean when he exits the shower. But for some reason his towels STINK to high heaven...even if he hangs them up right away to dry.
I change towels probably every couple of weeks or so? I usually shower every other day or every day (depending on weather, exercise, etc). We hang ours up after use too so they can dry. Usually my test is that I put my face in my towel and breathe in - if it doesn't smell nice, I get a new one.
We reuse our towels all week. I do change out hand towels more often though.
I have two towels, they get thrown in the wash every couple of weeks. When not on me they hang on a hook in my bathroom to dry out. I shower 6 times a week.

Dh has one towel that he uses but I have no idea when or if it ever gets thrown into the wash. He showers about 6 times a week too.

Each kid has one huge bath sheet with their name embroidered on it. They're pretty good about reusing those - they each have a place to hang it in their room. However, dd seems to use a new towel for her hair every single time she has a shower, and for her face every time she washes it, and for I have no idea what else. She goes through all our towels every couple of weeks - hand towels, facecloths and bath towels.
We use ours for a week or so?

If it dosent get hung up, or smells, we get new ones.
I'm really trying to get better about re-using towels

The thing is, they have to be hung up right away in order to that!

I change out the bath towels once a week. The hand towels every day.
Dh needs a fresh one at least every week because he showers daily. Mine can go two weeks because I shower every other day and it can dry completely. But it does depend on things like how humid it is, how well the bathroom is ventilated. In the humid summer here, nothing dries, so towels need to be washed more frequently.
I wash all the bath towels once a week. Anyone in our house who wants a clean towel more often than once a week is volunteering to take over laundry duty. So far...no takers.

Bath towels get washed once a week here. We're clean stepping out of the shower and we hang them up immediately after use to dry.
Every two weeks for most of the family, oftener if they get stinky, every week for dh.

I have two terrycloth bathrobes, one white and one dark colored, and shortish hair, so no need for a hair towel. I use a robe instead of bath towels and get the white one out once a month (when Aunt Flo has totally left the building
) and swap to the dark one a couple weeks later. DD is also on the bathrobe system. My sons have hoody towels and dh uses a regular towel.

We take the robes/towels to the bathroom when we shower, hang them up on a hook in there while we shower, wear them back to our rooms, hang them up behind the door and then dress in our rooms.

We have tiny bathrooms so we all hang our towels/robes up in our bedrooms, on hangers on a hook hanging behind the door, with even the regular towels draped so that it hangs up and dries out well. Our rooms are very dry compared to the bathroom, so I think this helps them to dry out thoroughly and stay fresh.

We use bath towels until they smell. That means less washing in the winter with the dry heat and more frequent washing in the summer. We are all pretty good about hanging them up. But if I found a towel on the floor, I wouldn't necessarily stick it in the hamper. I'd still hang it up. I would say 2-3 weeks between washings.

That. They're hung up after every use. The boys only bathe every other day anyways.
