<p>I've always needed the Rhogam after giving birth or after bleeding started with a loss.  But today when I spoke to the midwife she said "oh, the rhogam we ordred for you arrived so come in tomorrow and get the shot".  I responded "really, even though I'm not bleeding yet"?  </p>

<p>I thought there was a certain time frame you were to get it when you started bleeding ?  Or is it common to get it now since I am eventually going to start?  </p>

<p>Sorry for the stupid question, I've never NOT bled first....so this is new to me. </p>

<p>They gave me the shot a few weeks b/f my due date with my first baby and also when I had spotting during the first trimester that time.  This time I got Rhogam after my stillbirth.  I never even thought to ask about the when part of things to be honest.</p>

<p>I have not started bleeding yet and had my shot today.  My doctor said since we know that I will start bleeding in the next few weeks that we can do the shot now, it stays in our system. </p>
