I got this off my homeschool list. A mama I know runs this Book/Discussion group in North Kingstown. Each month there is a new book or video to be discussed. Info for this month:

"Next Monday (the 13th) my book club/discussion group will be watching the film
"THE WORLD ACCORDING TO MONSANTO : a documentary America will never see"

6:30 - 8:30 at the North Kingstown Public Library. 100 Boone Street, North Kingstown, 02852

This film should be required viewing for all who eat. Your next trip to the grocery store will be very different after watching this film.

I will be distributing (free) pocket sized shopping guides which outline the brands that contain Genetically Modified Organisms vs. Real Food.

This event is FREE (with organic free snacks!)

Please, if you have children (and obviously you do) please educate yourself regarding Monsanto and genetically modified food."

Hi MiNa! No, the library isn't hosting it...just the location spot for the group. My friend started this group and she picks various topics to talk about from either a book or video and the topics can be anything from food (like HFCS) or politics, etc.

Thanks for the info Leslie. I'll have to look for that documentary since I can't go either.
A great source of info on Monsanto for those who can't make it to the film is the Organic Consumer's Association. Monsanto is truly the epitome of the evil profit driven corporation. Not to side track but I thought it might be on topic
