I'm starting my 4-y/o DS on a cow's milk free diet to see if it will reduce his ear infections, chronic congestion, diahrrea, and mysterious tummy aches.

Can I substitute rice milk for cow's milk in cooking? I currently use cow's milk in a lot of things, like baking, in oatmeal, coco wheats, etc.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks Mamas!!

yep. 1 for 1. works pretty well in most things though you'd notice a difference in puddings or ice cream. in muffins or pancakes it works just fine.

Thanks! I successfully used it to make yummy pumpkin muffins! MMMmmmm good! Unfortunately, DS doesn't like the rice milk. I've tried plain and vanilla (he doesn't like chocolate). First he liked it, then he didn't, then he did, now he doesn't. Uggghhh! I'm going to keep trying though.

Cheers!!

Great idea with the oat milk for calories. My two are both tiny, so the extra calories would help. Do they fortify the oat milk? Now if I could just get my DS to DRINK the stuff!
