I make millet cereal for my ds (8 months old) but need to thin it a bit.... sometimes I use breastmilk, but sometimes I am not able to pump. Is rice milk ok to give to an 8 month old?

Thanks

Hi, I give my 8 month old unsweetened plain rice milk (I think it's rice dream brand, very simple ingredients). It's a little sweet naturally & he likes it
You can also use water or soak sundried-fruit in water overnight to sweeten it & add that
Atleast that's what I do, I don't know if there is anything wrong with it, but it works for us

I agree with Angela. And Rice Dream rice milk is really the best on the market, IMO. Simple ingredients and no added sugar plus a very mild almost no taste.

We started using rice milk in oatmeal at 6 months, and somewhere between 6-9 months they began drinking it from sippy cups. My older son loved it plain, my younger one has never really acquired a taste for anything but water in a cup.
