I'm a converted service diaper mommy. I'm now doing my own diaper laundry---hold your applause, please. Hehehe. I bought some rice paper liners to see if I can avoid the scraping and dipping. It's done WONDERS for my diapering experience! I just take it out, toss it in the toilet, let it soak for ---well until the next time to go to use that bathroom, then flush. Well, I did my laundry today, and apparently one of the not pooped on liners made it into the washer. I've been just tossing them when she pees on them but doesn't poop.

It not only survived the bath in the washer, but it's completley intact. Is it crazy to 'recycle' the non pooped on rice paper liners?

I also found out by accident after one made it through the was that they can stand up to the cleaning and now I do it all the time until they either fall apart or get pooped on. Subsequently I even came across a website that advertised that you could wash and reuse their liners(and I assume it goes for most paper liners).

It's a pleasant discovery, because you have the benefit of the easy clean up without feeling too wasteful.
