Hi,

Anyone use a jogging stroller? I want to get back into running outside with the baby and since I can't wear the baby while running I have a jogging stroller but I'm hearing conflicting information about when it's OK to run with the little one. He's nearly 6 months which I thought would make him the right age for me to run with him in the stroller, but my sister in law tells me it's a year. Bear in mind - I run VERY slowly

I always thought it was 6 months. I know we did that with our first. The big issue is head/neck support. Your stroller's instructions should say. If you don't have them, I would try the manufacturer's website or ask your ped.

I'll probably get flamed for this - but I've been running with my DS in the stroller since she was about 2.5 months old.

We have the BOB Ironman Jogging Stroller with the infant seat attachments. It works very well, she falls asleep on nearly every run, and the whole set up is very secure.

She doesn't jostle around since she's in her infant seat... she's coming up to the 6 month mark and I might start taking her running in the stroller proper - but I like being able to see her and having her be able to see me.

Anyway, for our stroller, without attachments, the recommended age is 6 months, so I'm sure you're fine... but I would base this on your LO's head control, ability to be happy while not looking at you, et cetera.
