I ended up with an epidural for my dd's birth. I could feel pressure but not pain. I felt her slide out but no ring of fire. I figured it was because of the epidural.
2 years later my ds was born and I had a natural labor. He flew out really fast. I remember right before I pushed my contractions were really bad and I screamed that I couldn't do it but I didn't feel a ring of fire or much pain at crowning and could barely feel him sliding out. I couldn't quite believe he was out until a squishy baby was placed on my stomach.
Did anyone else not really feel crowning and not have the ring of fire when the head was coming out?
