And I mean ROCKS. Everywhere. We just moved in right next to the river and I am sure that my yard was once covered by it. There are so so so many rocks. Right in the middle there is a huge rock, like 12 inches.

So I guess I want to know, has anyone else experienced this and how did they handle it? I have a bucket for the rocks I pick out and I will just make the huge rock part of the path, but are there going to be big problems that I don't see?

Thanks in advance,
I have tons of rocks...but due to former "rock garden" or overuse of gardening rocks. The rocks in my garden are the kind one can buy big bags of at gardening centers.

I am using them to guide my borders for now until I can put up something pretty for a border I will likely leave them there even after putting up border..it is wheelbarrows and wheelbarrows worth. I don't even know what to do with that many rocks. :

Build up. Mounding your garden beds with new soil and compost will make for great garden beds. You could also try raised beds in boxes. Go up and you will never have to deal with the rocks or weeds that are there now. Plus, it makes for great drainage.

Been there. STILL there, as a matter of fact. We just take them out as we go, and go, and keep going. We've gotten rid of a ton of rocks. And I don't see an end in sight. At least now, we have a deck built and I can toss them in the pile of landscape rocks underneath it that we put down to keep the weeds at bay. I was getting sick of bringing them over to the pond across the street. I swear, there's a new "beach" at that pond, formed solely by the rocks from my gardens!

Oh, and building UP is a great idea. The more compost and such I put in, and the higher up the beds, the fewer rocks I run into!
