HUGS!!!!
I don't have any answers for you right away, but I wanted to let you know that I have felt all this and it is very frustrating! It seems that every kid my dd's age has parents that do very little in the dental hygine area and they have perfect teeth. My dd, at 20 months, has undergone general anesthesia for 5 crowns, 1 filling, and sealants. We started noticing decay at 13 months.
I was doing no different than any other mother I knew and we got hit with all the bad stuff.....
Even after we really began to be diligent with great dental hygine, things just kept getting worse. It seems so unfair!
And to top it off, I got blamed b/c I nursed her at night. Everyone seemed to be on the weaning bandwagon, even my DH (I did win him over to my side eventually
). I knew it was not my milk, but everyone around me seemed to think it was their place to tell me it was. Like I was a bad mom for giving my baby the best.
Anyway, we made it through the worst (I hope....) and things are finally looking up. All that to say this, you are not a bad mama and you have done nothing wrong. I think these things just hit certain people and there is nothing you could have done to prevent it. I believe that if we are given a problem in life, that we have the strength to make it through with flying colors! Moreover, I believe that we are never given a problem we cannot handle. Besides, you are a mama.....and that means you can handle just about anything, right???
Hang in there. Things will get better.
