I started on RRL capsules last night. My plan, I think, is to take 1 a day (well, at night!) for a week. Then 1 in the AM and 1 in the PM for a week. Then 1 in the AM and 2 in PM for a week. Then 2 in the AM and 2 in PM for a week. Then 2 in the AM and 3 in the PM until birth.

I had no noticeable reaction or response to the pill last night. I don't know if I should have though...

Are you going to take RRL capsules? If so, what is your plan? At what point do you anticipating noticing any effects?

I started drinking the tea last week--one or two cups at night. I do notice BH contractions after I drink the tea.

I actually didnt know you can get it in pill form--this might be a better option than drinking all that tea since I wanted to increase the amount closer to my DD.

I've been through 300grams this pregnancy already and just ordered another pound of organic loose leaf to get me though the last couple of months. At this point in the game I brew a really strong infusion daily and drink between 1-2 quarts daily.

ninetendork- My understanding is that it is supposed to tone the uterus when you take between 1200 and 1800mg. My midwife suggested 1500mg. I've got it in pill form because she thinks that is more effective but I know lots of mamas who love the tea and swear by it. My friend had RRL pills left over from her birth in August so I didn't have to buy any and why I wound up with pills rather than tea. (I had planned to drink the tea as I'm so tired of drinking 110 ounces of water a day...I was looking forward to the change!)

Then in a week or two I will start on 5-W as well. Although that makes me more nervous. Can't dong quai raise your blood pressure???

I drink 3 or 4 cups a day. I don't get BH afterwards, but I love the taste and since it's known to tone the uterus I figure what the hell

I am 32 weeks today and started drinking RLT about 3 days ago. I have been drinking 3 cups a day. At first I didn't feel any different but now I feel tightening low in my abdomen. I am planning on starting EPO around the end of my 34th week. I will be induced at 38 weeks this time around and so I figure it is ok to start the EPO slightly earlier than usually recommended. I only use them vaginally, not orally...I can't stand the taste of them! My last baby was stillborn at 38.5 weeks so I am a little anxious about getting this one out a little earlier since they did not find any cause of her death, just possible cord compression.

I have 1000mg capsules, 1 at bedtime. Sleep with a pad because the oil can leak out when you move in your sleep.

I make a pitcher every other day. Right now I am drinking two cups a day. One pitcher of RRL tea gives me four big cups. I will up it to 3-4 cups a day in a few weeks along with EPO taken vaginally. I like it iced, it is something to drink that isn't water.

I fill up a thermos of RRL/Nettle tea every morning to drink throughout the day. I actually dont like the taste and add some mint to it. I took the capsules in my last pregnancy...I may get some again this time.

So at my appointment yesterday I found out that baby is head down and no longer transverse! I decided to start EPO vaginally lastnight and today she seems to be putting a bit more pressure on my cervix and has turned her back to my front into the perfect position. I'm hoping/wondering if this is a coincidence or what? She is still just as active. I'm still drinking the RRLT everyday too. 2-3 cups a day.

I just started drinking RRL tea, but my midwife also recommened Dr. Christopher's 6 week formula. I just ordered it. Anyone else also taking it?? You start at 34 weeks with 1 pill a day, 2nd week- 2 pills a day, and so on until you get to 6 pills a day. All the reviews I've read on it seem too good to be true, and the girls have incredibly short labors. I'm hoping it's as good as they say.

My mw gave me some my first pregnancy but I don't start it until 37 weeks. I've had two children and labored around 4.5 hours total in my life

It's probably a combo of my genetic predisposition and the herbs too, but I ordered some just in case.

Although my hubby is planning on a quick out of state outing around 36w+5 (37+5 according to my mw) so I'm definitely waiting until MY calculated 37 weeks to start!
