<p>I thought we were the phase if they were quite go check on them.  The only upside to this was they thought and put long sleeves and did it over pants.  No duct tape touched any skin. <img alt="whistling.gif" src="http://files.mothering.com/images/smilies/whistling.gif">  I must ad all parties were willing participants. </p>

I have seen that picture and other photos of kids duct tape....it makes me sad.  Even though this child doesn't look upset and it is sad. <p>When I had carpal tunnel surgery, my XH would put a ziplock bag over my arm to protect the wrapping and stitches, then duct tape it to my arm when I would shower.  It never pulled out any of my arm hair or harmed my skin.  It didn't hurt at all to take it off.  Just an FYI if anyone finds their kids duct taping each other.  <span><img alt="lol.gif" src="http://files.mothering.com/images/smilies/lol.gif">  It was probably generic duct tape though, not sure if that makes a difference.</span></p>

<p>this rule would be for my mom "if you ever watch my kids and they drop their tooth brush in the toilet, just throw it away...". we were visiting a few weeks ago and my niece dropped hers in, my mom told her to just wash it off in the kitchen sink..... Yuck! </p>

<p>I've seen this pic before. It actually doesn't bother me. I totally get the feeling there was some discussion about people saying they'll duct tape a baby to a wall, and someone said, "hey - let's try that", and they did. I strongly suspect that dd2 would laugh her head off if we did that with her, and if we were to try it, and she <em>didn't</em> laugh her head off, we'd stop. And, once you'd done it, of course, you'd want a pic! I doubly think this, because of the fact that they taped the stuffie beside her. This is a total photo-op pic.<br>

<p>Ours' is less of a don't lick the car rule and more of a don't rub your entire body and face all of the car rule.  Honestly, I think I would prefer tongue-only contact over full body contact.</p>
