nak - Is this normal? Dh made eggs on our grooved pan this morning. It didn't go well (to say the least) and I had to scrub and soak all morning long to get all the egg off (the pan was pre-seasoned). Now it has rust spots. How do I deal with this?

You shouldn't soak cast iron (or use the dishwasher) because that's what will happen. To fix it though, just rub it liberally with oil (whatever kind you use) and bake it. Continue to oil and bake it until it's back into good shape. This has worked for most pans I've seen.

You probably just rubbed the seasoning off. Scrub the rust off, then just coat it with some oil, then put it in the oven on about 350 for a couple of hours. Wipe off the oil, and it's seasoned again!
