I'm looking for an embroidery machine that has some kind of computer connection so that I can use designs from clipart, cd's, etc. I would love to have a Viking #1, but that's out of my price range. I was looking at the Singer Quantum Futura, but I've read that it has software issues with XP, and that's the platform on my computer. FWIW, right now this would be primarily for personal use & for making gifts, but I do hope to eventually start my own business. Oh, and it doesn't have to be an embroidery/sewing machine, because I already have a Viking sewing machine that I love. Any suggestions?

TIA!

Hi Jaye! I just bought the Singer Quantum Futura from Costco.com http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...pnav=&cat=&s=1. I purchased from there because the good price and the great return policy. I have only used it to sew so far, haven't even loaded the embroidery software yet. I also have XP but I read somewhere that the issues have been resolved for machines available to purchase now.

Hey, Are you unsure of buying which embroidery machine? I recommend you to read some reviews of embroidery machine before buying or you can view tutorials also. I recommend you a blog embroik that provide unbiased reviews about embroidery machines. Read the guides to get your first model. Thanks,
