Yay! Glad it went well. What a relief!!! :)

I HATE the having to pee thing...it makes me dread the ultrasound, actually. Here they give you a time to show up, but it's not your ultrasound time. However, they tell you to drink the water an hour before your show up time. The wait after that time can be anywhere from nothing to an hour or more (I had one in June for a check for fibroids etc, I waited over an hour and half, it was brutal!). My last pregnancy-related ultrasound, I waited long enough with a full bladder that I became desperate - the clerk at the desk told me I could let "a little bit" out. I was literally going to the bathroom every few minutes letting out like a teaspoon, which I quickly discovered is actually painful and worse than just holding it. When I went in for the ultrasound, the tech told me I could go pee to a count of 10 or something like that...sweet RELIEF! I wanted to kiss that woman for her kindness :lol I have no idea why they don't tell the clerks to tell people that, it would have saved me being near tears in the waiting room!! Oh well, I know for this time (thank goodness!!)

Glad to hear you had such a successful u/s. It's interesting but I have never had to have a full bladder for any of my scans with my prior pregnancies or even this one. I guess I am lucky, I'd have peed my pants- LOL

Really? Here they make you drink water (the amount depends on how far along you are - I think 2 cups for early ultrasound, 1.5 for mid-pregnancy) even for a later ultrasound - I had one at 32 weeks to check placenta position with my first guy and even then I had to have water (I don't remember being painfully full that time, though, thank goodness, so it must have just been a normal amount of water!). How do they see without a full bladder, and do you think you could have your ultrasound people call my ultrasound people and share their secrets? :lol

congrats on your great u/s.

I've never had to pee for an u/s either - neither trans-vag or abdominal.

I even had an 8 week abdominal without water and it was fine.
