Hi guys,
DD is 3ish months and I'm not sure if she's actually teething yet (her dad had 4 teeth at 4 months) but she is def. cranky and def. drooly and loves to chew on my finger. I wondered what I can give her to chew on other than my finger??? I have a bunch of teething/chew type toys I've been given as gifts, but I wonder, should they be BPA free??? None of them say so on the package, do they even make such a thing? What do you give your wee ones? thanks

We were given a Green Sprouts Teether Rattle by my aunt and it's the only non-breast
or non-cloth thing I feel okay about going in my LO's mouth.

It's made from cornstarch resin, making it PVC and BPA and petroleum free, even biodegradable and compostable!!! I'm very impressed with it.

Sophie the Giraffe was highly recommended to us, but just went with this haba toy and the boy loves it. (we just never got around to buying Sophie)

I am skeeved out by all the bad stuff the baby puts in his mouth that's not supposed to go there, he grabs for anything and then in it goes. So I'm trying to counteract the bad with a no-plastic rule in our house. So even if it is BPA free we try to stay away.

Our baby really like to suck on warm wash cloths. I tried freezing one thinking that it would be nice to chew on, but he didn't like the cold, he just made a funny face and dropped it. So I guess he like warm ones better. I have read that you can give a frozen carrot, but that may be later after your is eating carrots. I like this idea though.

Love your baby's name by the way!

Sophie the giraffe! I found this to be a good one at a young age because the rings & things were to big to fit in his mouth. started with it around 3mo & now at almost 9mo he still loves it. Also at www.urthchild.com they have water filled teething rings by naturrsutten (sp?)
