It seems like my milk supply has finally dropped this week
and it saddens me bc DD still nurses at night, but doesn't get much milk. She switches sides quite alot.....which isn't normal for her and I've noticed my bbs are smaller. ~sigh~

What can I do to boost my supply??? TIA!

I asked the same question to the midwife last week and her answer was that nature knows what it is doing. Your body is doing what it needs to do for the pregnancy. I am really hoping I'll be able to keep making enough milk to get dd thru the pregnancy but I'm trying to be relaxed about it because she's probably right.

I never found a way to keep my supply going during pregnancy but both ds and dd nursed right through the dry spell and were totally excited when my milk came in. Maybe try to have her some water to satisfy her thirst during the night. Thats what I did.

Drinking a LOT of water helped me, when I was in that position. It still dropped off a bit, but lots and lots and crazy-lots of water seemed to slow it down more than anything. I nursed two almost to the end of my third pregnancy. When my milk came back the other two came back, though I think my oldest only nursed once, to prove he could. He was 4.5. His little brother was 2, and went back to morning/evening nursing, sort of on and off and when he was sick.

I think my milk dried at about 19 weeks.....ds still nurses though, although not as much. Tonight he started nursing before bed and nursed for a few seconds and said "gone".....lol I don't think he will wean though and hopefully my milk will come in again soon!
