I'm interested in meeting other cruchies! Post any info you care to share, or let's get something started for ourselves

yeah! I agree....I don't want to have to go to LLL meetings to meet other moms, even though we are still b/f'ing...it's only a few times a day now.

I'm in Sugarhouse, how about you?

I'm in Sandy, but it's not far. I'd like to form a group that dads could come to as well.

My baby is still little...so it's way more than a couple times a day still. But we're lovin it.

Oh wow, that won't work! Well, meeting other AP mamas around here seems to be pretty difficult. There are a lot of good folks here, though, and many in my opinion, are more AP than they think.

Just to let you all know, there is a SLC extended breastfeeding group (nursing beyond the first year) that meets at the Sprague library in Sugarhouse (2100 S. and 11th East shopping center, just past Barnes and Noble). They meet the 2nd Thursday of the month at 10 am in the basement. There are lots of AP moms there, although I think the more formal play groups have folded a bit for the winter. The topics are usually more political in nature and also more focus on discipline/parenting topics. The general meeting for nursing during the first year meets at the same time and place, only the first Thurs of the month. You can go to www.lalecheleague.org to find the contact info if you want. Great to hear from AP moms in Utah!

Hiya,

I am in Kaysville with a 6 month old little boy and I would LOVE to see a playgroup started! I work from home and Jack and I sure could use some fresh faces once in a while. Question is... how do you start one of these things? Just pick a date and a place, I suppose, huh? Does anyone have a suggestion for a place? I'm up for anywhere, although I know winter pretty much warrants the indoors.

Hope that together we can get something started!

How about a visit to the downtown Library? I work, so day meetings don't work so well for us. Would a weekend or evening be okay for everyone? Maybe the last tuesday evening of January?

Any other date/place/time suggestions are very welcome!

Hey everyone...
check this out and sign up!
We can certainly change the time if it works for everyone...

http://attachmentparenting.meetup.com/243/

Let me know what time will work for you all, you can rsvp on the meetup page, just put the best time in the notes of your rsvp, and we'll get back to everyone...

I could certainly take a couple hours off of work and come earlier if it works out better for everyone, too. Thanks for starting the group!

Hi local Utahn's, I've just started a Liberal AP Parents yahoo group for Utah. I know there are alot of conservative groups going on and that's great, but decided to form a group of parents that practice Attachment Parenting, and who are also liberal in their politcal views. A place to talk about parenting issues and political issues. If your interested, please join us:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Libera...guid=163420782
