Please join us for your local Real Diaper Circle ~ this month we will be having another SEWING meeting!
Bring your material & machines, we will have a snap press available with snaps applied at .20, and diaper cuts/mamapad cuts will be available in support of the room rental & snacks

Support other mamas and just come to have fun!

We are meeting in the Snohomish County PUD Learning Center, located in Everett. The meetings will be in a first floor Conference Room.

We are currently booked for Saturday, November 19th at 10:30am in the TC-1B room. If there is any change, it will be posted on the website below.

What is a Real Diaper Circle?
It's a place to meet with other cloth-diapering interested parents & cd'ing parents, and share stories & reviews with them. It is also a way to organize advocates for environmental reasons to cloth diaper.

The whole family is invited, it is a baby-safe enclosed area at the PUD Learning center in Everett.

I'm a volunteer, so this is solely from my heart...I love seeing people come together with a common interest like cloth-diapering...
We will be taking voluntary donations for the Diaper Circle, to support & continue local advocacy & to cover operating costs.
Without you, the circle is not possible Come on down!

I suck at sewing and I only use Fuzzi Bunz. But I am so there! I can't wait to move to Washington (7 more days). : :

Woo-woo! FINALLY a date that I haven't already booked out.

Can I put in a request for a fleece cover? I'd love to learn how to make one of those. Some friends mailed me their pocket diapers to try and I'm going to be using a combination of pockets with Prefolds and wraps, since I own some wraps. I was given two AIO newborn sized which will be great for baby. I had priced out making my own prefolds versus buying them and figured out that I would only save $0.20 a diaper and ordered my prefolds yesterday. So, we should be on our way to being fully in cloth diapers soon! I love that the reoccuring rash in the disposables at day care clears up by the next morning once he wears cloth (and with a little lanolin). I can't wait to have enough around for him to wear them 24/7.

I hope there is room for newbies, because I want to come...
I've got a semi-finished AIO, lots of fabric, some patterns, sewing experience, but little diaper sewing experience.

I hope to see you there!

I'm going to try to make this one! Maya - will you have all the supplies we'll need to make a diaper for purchase? If not, what should I bring? Should I bring my sewing machine too?

I'm also a newbie who's been looking into coming to one of these for a while. I was wondering the same thing. Should I bring my machine?

Yes, bring your machines & projects, and I will have velour/pul/fleece diaper cuts, hospital grade PUL rolls & fleece to purchase.
Does anyone need touchtape? I have a million yards of the stuff. Let me know and I can add it to the packing.

Our last sewing meeting is featured in this months RDA newsletter!
You're all famous...lol
check it out at http://www.realdiaperassociation.org/

(If possible, email me your requests for certain fabrics & such at [email protected] after November 11th - when I return from my Oma's memorial in Jakarta - so that I can remember and re-focus upon return.)

Essentially velcro - but it's supposed to be better than just plain velcro.

Hi!

I'm looking forward to this. I haven't been able to make it to one of your meetings in the past.

I was at the fabric store for something else and the no-pil fleece was on sale and there were some rements, so I went ahead and picked some up in UW and Wazzu prints. I thought that might be fun since my sister was a coug and I went to the UW and it was on sale. (Pacific Fabrics outlet in Georgetown had a lot of fleece on sale).

My Dh wants to know if He can bring our puppy/dog (he's 6mo, so he's kinda older child age).

If he can't bring George then he's not going to come, but if he can then he'll come too.

I think it would be cool if he came (he likes to sew on the serger) to learn more about CD, but if not, then oh well. He'll survive.

Thanks
