Out of the blue around 10am, I started to have strong, long, frequent contractions and I thought I might have been leaking some fluid. Scared the poop out of me, let me tell you. I called my MW and she had me drink a glass of wine, lay down with my hips propped up, and take a nice hot bath. My chiro called and walked my DH through how to pop my sacrum back out since I couldn't make it to her today. That helped a LOT!

Things have calmed down significantly but I'm pretty shaken up and sore. I usually have prodromal labor, starting around 6-7 weeks before I deliver. And sure enough, I'm about 7 weeks from the 36 week mark. But that wasn't fun, seeing as how we're all on red alert for PTL. I am still trying to find a balance between trusting my body and what it normally does and being on the lookout for problems.

It was suggested to me by another twin mom that I might have had babies shifting position and indeed, my stomach has a new shape today and dare I say I feel FOUR legs and feet up near my sternum? Time will tell.

Here's hoping everyone stays put.

That is scary. I'm really glad the contractions stopped and that things are settling down. I'm also glad it feels like they may have both settled head down. That's encouraging!

Note to Chantel's babies (and everyone else's for that matter): Stay put for now.

I'm glad that things have calmed down!

Scary for sure! I am sending those babies "stay baking" vibes. I am 30 weeks and i have noticed a lot of different shifting around with my twins too.

The wine was EXCELLENT!

Contractions are much calmer today. Well within the 'normal' range.

Glad things have calmed down, how scary for you Very exciting that there may be four feet up there at the top of your tummy (and wow, that sounds uncomfortable...but super reassuring all the same, I'm sure!!)!

Stay put babies!!! I'm glad things are more calm today and hope they stay that way. I know it's easier said than done, especially with LO's to take care of, but take it easy!

I'm glad to hear that things have settled down . When I had contractions last week, my mw said that sometimes if the baby shifts position it can trigger them, so maybe that's what happened?

Stay put, Ben and Claire! Your mama's uncomfortable, but not so much that she wants you to come out yet!!!

I was talking to them last night Shanana, telling them they had to stay put! That even though Mama was not comfy with them squirming around in there, the people who would have to take care of them out here would NOT be nice. NICU at 29 weeks is no picnic.

Ah, but they seem to be listening (what?!?!? children of MINE listening to me!!?!) and life today has been much easier.

Yes, stay put little babes! I had a bit of a scare myself last night - I lost part of my mucous plug and I never lost it with DS, so it was an odd experience for me. I *know* that the plug can be lost weeks before labor actually begins, but it still freaked me out for a little bit!

Glad to hear it! Maybe this is a harbinger of times to come: Chantel's twins are the calmest, most even-tempered babies ever!
