hi, i was wondering if anyone on here had dealt with a subchorionic hemorrhage during pregnancy? I have had three ultrasounds so far ( I am 12 weeks 1 day preg) and my ob says that at this point we are not out of the woods but because the hemorrhage is small and not located under the placenta we have pretty good odds. Has anyone else experienced this type of situation?

I have not but I have a friend who has. Her DS is a perfectly healthy toddler now. I believe her hemmorhage was around 14 weeks and I think she was on bedrest a lot of the pregnancy. I do remember she had to quit her job much sooner than she planned because of it.

DDC crashing!

I have/had one. Mine might have burst around 5-6 weeks, as I had a TON of brown spotting. None since. I'll have them check it out at my 20 wks u/s to find out if it resolved (since most do). If it makes you feel better, my HB MW is not worried a bit and says they're not uncommon!

ddb crashing as well. I did - there is a yahoo group for women who have it

search for "SCHGroup" -I found it very helpful b/c as you've found out, there isnt alot of info out there.

first sch was a m/c. 2nd is now 3.5yo w/absolutely no issues.

seems like depending on size and position, the oddds are 50/50 regardless of what you do. some drs treat conseratively and others say, no matter what it wont matter. I liked the semi conservative approach myself

its terribly nerve-wracking and really sucked the joy out of the pg for me.

I had 2 severe ones with my last pregnancy. Woke to a blood soaked bed at 10 weeks 4 days and had pretty continuous red bleeding until about 30 weeks. They were pretty substantial in size. My placenta the dr. said was about the size of a small apple and the hemorrhages were the size of a shelled walnut and a quarter(so about 70% the size of the placenta). He gave us a 30% chance of having a baby and an even smaller chance of carrying to term. I took it easy (as easy as I could with a 1 year old and 3 year old) and took care of myself. Bleeding stopped and I went on to have a healthy 8 lb 5 oz (a little smaller than my others) baby boy 8 days past my due date. It was freaky but it all worked out in the end. I find it hard with this current pregnancy to not obsessively check my underwear for blood. I had a lot of bleeding. Fill a pad in 2 hours amount of bleeding though.
Good luck hope it works out for you.
