Schools in Madison

Hi,
We will be going to Madison the first week of December to really check the area out, because we are seriously considering moving there next summer. I have been trying to research schools on the internet but i am not really comming up with any alternative options. (Charter schools, waldorf schools ,ect...)
Could any of you Madison Mamas inform me about the schools there? I really want to check some out while we are there.
