Okay...so I send DH upstairs to change Bubbies while I'm cleaning up after dinner. He's generally pretty competent. He brings her back down and I loose track of time. Next think I know it's about 2 hours later and bedtime. I go upstairs to change Bubbies for bed...call DH into the room and ask him what's wrong with this picture? He looks for a minutes...and says, "oh, I guess I forgot, sorry...and walks away?

What did he forget, you might ask? A COVER!!! There she was with just her Recyclebees fitted under her clothes! DH is SO lucky she didn't have a supersoaking evening or anything. Her diaper shirt wasn't even damp! He so lucked out! But I have to say the Recyclebee held performed marvelously under the circumsances!

Yup, my DH has a thing for forgetting covers too, especially lately. Once even at bedtime! Glad I caught it! :

And two nights ago, he got everything on but the LTK hybrid rib soaker was on backwards.. and inside out. :LOL

I had to laugh when dh diapered my ds with two stuffed fbs. Since they were lying on top of each other and both trim (moe inserts), he figured one had to be the cover. He wouldn't have had any leaks that way. lol

That's too funny. My dh does change diapers and he's not making as many mistakes as he used to. It just takes time. The other day he was talking about how much he loved cloth diapers and I looked at him. Like have you lost all your marbles...you used to hate them...he said: Hey give a guy some credit that was then and this is now. :LOL :LOL :LOL

I'm right there with Lori, atleast he tried, my dh hasn't put one single cloth diaper on since allison has been born, that was 3 months ago... I started working again about 3 weeks ago (subing at my son's school and my mom's school) and he refuses to use cloth, he actully went to the store with three kids to buy diapers one day when i was working... that's why i have a very baby order on the way to me (from flutterbybaby)! Hopefully he will use them since they are just basic AIO's no snaps, just like a disposable, but we'll see!!!

Well, I laid down the law with DD1, must to my MIL's chigrin (sp?). Seriously, though, DH has always been helpful...he doesn't do A LOT of housework or anything, but he has always pitched in, even before kids when we were both working. It was something we discussed early on and I laid out my expectations. When we were expecting DD1 I told him that I had NO intention of playing supermom and it took both of us to make this baby, so I expected him to participate to...now, I can't say it has all been roses and there have been times that I've felt like a single mother...but things are going really well right now...DH is working from home so that helps. Anyway, with DD1, he did his fair share of diapers, but he refused to do cloth. Since I wanted him to help with diapering etc. I gave in on that. Three years later (and 18mos of that in paper pull-ups), DH's wallet got the better of him and he suggested we try cloth trainers on DD1. DD2 was just a newborn, and I suggested that if we were going to do cloth with the preschooler, then I'd like to do cloth with the baby. He agreed to try it. We started with some pretty easy stuff and are now all fitteds and wool covers/soakers. I have 2 AIOs that hardly ever get used. But he manages just fine. He kills me sometime when I change her and find a size2 RB inside a size1 RB cover. I don't know how he does it, cuz _I_ can't get them to fit! hehehe....anyway, to make a long story short, he says if he had known that cloth diapers were like this when DD1 was a baby, he would have done cloth with her. He had just envisioned prefolds and pins and wasn't interested. Now if only I could get him to change more of the _dirty_ diapers...actually he doesn't mind changing them, he just hates rinsing them...and we have a mini shower! oh, well...I wasn't complaining in my OP, I was just trying to share the humour...I thought it was funny as all get out that I changed her and there was not cover...and she was still dry!

My DH is really enjoying the cloth as well. I wouldn't say he loves it...and he thinks some of the prints I choose are a bit out there (like the sushi print he originally thought was weird (he loves sushi, so I got it for HIM) and now when he takes her up for a change he asks if the sushi diaper is clean!), but he's gotten into helping me choose colours for soakers and longies...and he hasn't said a word about how much I've spent! He thinks they are cute too...and he loves the environmental and comfort factors, so it's all good!
