DS1 just had his scratch test today (there were so many bumps on his little arm

).

One of the bumps was positive for egg whites, but he's been eating whole eggs all along, without any obvious symptoms.

All his other food allergies (dairy, peanuts, tree nuts) have had really obvious symptoms -- he vomits about a minute later, and has snorky breathing for a few hours afterwards.

Can the scratch test be wrong on the egg whites?

Sure, there are such things as false positives. I would maybe get the RAST though and see what it says and for now avoid them.
