Extended forecast says no rain next week! I am so ready to be outside. I know there are other mamas with babies here from SE PDX. Who wants to do a meet up? Tell me what days work for you. Closest parks to me are Tabor, Kenilworth, Mt. Scott, Kern, or Essex.

i would love to get together outdoors next week. we are in the process of moving right near mt. tabor so that could be really fun! i would also be open to hosting tea at our new house the week after if anybody would like to have baby play/tea time.
we are going to be building a medicinal herb garden in our yard and could always use help and baby distraction!

Kern is super close (within a few blocks!!) to us. We're also within walking distance of Mt. Tabor, so my vote would be for one of those two. Not having to put DS in the dreaded carseat is always a blessing

And I hear you on the garden front Satorimoon! It took us forever to get everything planted this year, it seems. Only one of us could garden at a time with busy little DS...

I'm so excited about this though!

Wow, awesome! Kern is that close to me as well - sounds like we're close neighbors! That would be really great to meet then! And Tabor is great as well. Pretty much any day works for me so you guys let me know when you think would work and we'll do it!

It looks like Wednesday has a 100% chance of precipitation. Thursday looks like it will probably have the nicest weather, if that makes any difference to anyone...

This isn't in SE, but my friends and I have an AP mommies group in Beaverton. We're always looking for new women and babies to join us. It's a pot-luck style dinnner every Tuesday night from 5:30-7:30. PM me if you or anyone you know would like to come.

Beaverton is too far for me - I don't drive. But I know a really sweet mama who was in my childbirth class that lives there. I'll let her know!

That is first Thursday, which is busy for us. DP will be performing downtown and I usually go with. I was actually talking about next week. According to yahoo, there won't be rain starting Monday and at least through Thursday. However, if a time works out before then, I'm free. This Thurs, we'll probably head over to the pearl around 2, so before that would be ok too.

If we're doing next week, I vote for Wednesday the 9th. DS usually goes down for his nap about noon, but that's an "about". What does everyone else's nap (un)schedule look like?

And thank you very much for the invite Abraisme! I don't drive either, so Beaverton is WAY far for us. But it's very sweet of you to extend the offer

Lilah usually does a morning and an afternoon nap or two - hard to say when or for how long, but she can sleep in the ergo if we're out when the fancy strikes her.

I'm up for this thurs in the am or next wed anytime, or both! We could do a walk Thurs morn, or meet at Kern, and then go to Tabor next week, or Satori's garden...

I remember a thread awhile back with some more posts from local mamas with babies - maybe I'll find it and pm them since they probably haven't seen this, and see if anyone else wants in.

Let's plan on Kern, this Thursday (6/3) morning at 10? We can always just go for a short mama walk around the neighborhood.

And then Tabor next Wednesday at noon? I'm not super familiar with Tabor park, I've only ever been to the dog park portion. We always have entered from Lincoln St. (and 64th), but I know there are other entrances and that it's pretty expansive. Anyone have a good idea of a meetup location? And would Thursday at noon work for folks?

I have pretty much no schedule to speak of, so all of this could be changed/switched/moved!

That will work for me. I have no schedule either, besides tagging along to DPs gigs which aren't consistent. I don't really know where we should meet at Tabor, maybe we can figure that out on Thurs. Looking forward to it! I emailed one person from the other thread, which it turns out was started by Satorimoon, in December. But that's ok if it's just the 2 or 3 of us!

What would you guys think of moving our meet up this week to Tues? (Or tomorrow, if you see this in time) I see that it's supposed to be raining again Wed and Thurs, but nice on Mon and Tues. Either way, I can do it - it's just going to be with or without umbrella. Without sounds better...

I have a final on Tuesday, so that's a no go for me... Could probably do it tomorrow though. I'll check the thread this evening before I go to bed. Were we still thinking noon at Mt. Tabor Park?
