My sister is hoping/dreaming/trying v.hard to move to the area. She is looking for a school for her to be 8th grader that would have an outdoor emphasis to the curriculum. My kids are little and I have no knowledge of schools for older ones.

Any suggestions would be really welcome. She is already talking with someone at the Explorer West Middle School in West Seattle. Are there any others out there - public or private??

She may want to check out the Evergreen School but be forewarned - it's very pricey.

Try Wilderness Awareness School, in Duvall. My brother by another mother went there and got soooo much out of it. Very much a well rounded curriculum, but I am not sure if it is only for home schooled kids or not.
