Other than title tags and meta tags, how can i improve my search engine ranking???

does anyone pay for better search engine ranking??? is this necessary???

There are a lot of ways to improve search engine placement. Here are some in a nutshell:

1. Increase your popularity, get links on other sites.
2. Put up more content on your site
3. Name your files like so: www.mydomain.com/wholesale-diapers.htm instead of www.mydomain.com/page1.htm
4. Make sure your keywords are listed on your pages in your content.
5. Use
tags a lot.

When you say more content, are you referring to adding original articles, discussions, etc.?

I'm confused about "get links on other sites".....i know this has been referred to alot.....could you give me an example? do you mean when you exchange links with other wahm business or do you mean when you pay to have your name placed on a website?

Yes, more content means put up more pages... more files. The bigger your site in terms of pages, the higher you rank.

Link exchanges... exactly. Get your domain name hotlinked on as many other sites as possible. I have a company who pays me for a text ad on my site not because she gets many sales from it but because my site is so large that her search engines rankings go super high when that text ad is on my site. When her ad is off my site, she drops in the search engines. Fringe benefit of the text ad

When you program a site you can type text.... or you can wrap it in
tags. For example:

Diapers R Us
will have a higher search engine ranking than "Diapers R Us" alone in a paragraph. An
tag will also format your text a certain way, so watch out or reset the
tag to conform to the look and feel of your site.
