My mother bought me a large bottle of Sears liquid detergent (she buys it because its low suds, safe for septic tanks -- she bought me some because... I don't know, I'm pregnant? anyway) Has anyone used this for cloth diapers?

I haven't but, giving you a bump to the top in case someone else has...

I would think it would work really well. Soap is soap usually and low suds sounds like low build up to me!

Thanks for the bump! I went to the Sears website and looked up the detergent and it says something about enzymes. So now I'm worried about using it because others have said that enzyme detergents and cloth diapers can give the little ones terrible rashes.

Oooh, good point! I'd actually NOT use it if it has more enzymes in it. For two reasons -- your baby's skin and then also your diapers. Emzymes can eat away at cloth.
