Queen Anne Moms Yahoo group
If you are a parent living in the neighborhood, you are invited to join the Queen Anne Moms email list. The list is a forum for moms (and dads) living on Queen Anne in Seattle to get to know each other as neighbors and support each other as parents.
How did it get started?
In Madrona, there's a well-known email distribution list, Madrona Moms, which now has nearly 230 members. It's become a great forum for neighborhood issues and sharing advice and tips. Well, we decided we need the same kind of thing on Queen Anne.
What kind of postings might I expect to see?
Announcements of neighborhood events, childcare or home repair referrals, school issues and tips, playgroup starter inquiries, and discussions of all things Queen Anne.
How do I sign up?
Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/QueenAnneMoms/join (or go to Yahoo groups and search for Queen Anne Moms). If you don't have one, you'll need to create a Yahoo i.d. and password for yourself. A moderator will approve your membership within a day or so. This is totally non-commercial; a neighborhood thing.
