I had my second visit with my midwife today. I love her
.
14 weeks, 3 days, I think. I took the boys as my midwife asked me last time to bring them . She caught Isaac . Don't think I will bring them next time, lol. They were good, but Isaac kept wanting my attention while I was trying to talk to my midwife.
I decided no on the AFP. They said I could choose a level II sonogram at 18 weeks since Isaac was born with a heart defect. I failed miserably at getting my labwork done. I promised I would do it this week. I laughed and said, "With the first pregnancy, I did it the day I got the paperwork. With Isaac I did it within a week. With this baby, maybe it will get done before I deliver."
Now we are sitting down to watch Isaac's birth so the boys can see if Karen was really there, lol -- they have their doubts. Isaac said he didn't remember her being at his birth-day .
I mentioned the anxiety issues I have been having and she suggested removing myself from the anxiousness and trying to examine what exactly is going on inside. She suggested trying to follow it through and sequence the steps to try to cut some out in the future. I was glad she didn't think it was anything that needs meds, but she also said to let her know if they get better or worse.
We got to hear the baby's heartbeat again, and we know it is not twins! I ran into a friend I hadn't seen in a while and she was hugely pregnant! I said, "Wow, I didn't think it had been that long since I had seen you!" and she said, "I'm having twins -- we found out at 14 weeks." She had my same midwives but had to transfer to an OB.
