I would love to be a part of this. I don't have much traditional baby stuff to offer since this is my first and I am not even showing yet (sigh). I did start beading over the winter so I can make necklaces if people have a design/colors they would like...I warn that I am no expert! I do have some neat beads, though.

My ISO list is very short:

Cloth diapers or inserts
Cloth diaper covers
Anything related to CDing

I know next to nothing about CDing but really want to do it. I am hesitant to buy anything online b/c I don't really know exactly what TO buy. So, any items that you momas in-the-know would like to offer, I would appreciate! Used or hand-mades are totally great for me, too!

I am willing to send internationally, too, for the person who asked about that.

Yay! I am excited about this!

OK- my ISO list...

Me:
Any issues (back issues, ancient issues, falling to pieces, anything) of Breeder, Mothering, Bust, Bitch or any of the feminist or AP zines. They are generally very, very difficult to get over here and I'd love to know what all the fuss is about.
Cloth breast or mama pads- home-made would be amazing, if anyone can
A pregnancy tea.
Naturally fragranced candles, especially quite herbal-scented ones or beeswax.
Jewellery of any kind or description, particularly dangly ear-rings.
A copy of Stitch and Bitch, if anyone sees an unloved one.

And for baby;
Anything handmade or mama-made, except wool longies. (I like vests that snap at the crotch for tinies, and anything else is very difficult to get over here.)
Diaper covers- preferably aplix or pull-ons- or soakers.
Tie-dye, rainbow colours, anything bright, beautiful or gorgeous.

We have very very little stuff saved for the new baby, so pretty much everything is starting from scratch again.

I also saw another expecting club did a birth beads swap and I thought that would be cool. Each mama sent beads to one person who separated them out and sent one of each to everyone. Seemed like a cool thing to, to make your own birthing necklace or bracelet and know that your entire EC is "with you" on the big day! So if anyone is interested, maybe we can do that for the 3rd tri!

Just wanted to say I love this idea! Let's remember it for the 3rd trimester!

Love seeing everyone's lists! This will be fun!

Sure! I would say let's try to get all of our ISO lists up by the 5th, at the latest, so everyone can choose their match mama by the 6th.

Ok, here is my ISO list, it was hard to do! This is our first babe, and we plan to CD, Co-sleep, EC (hopefully), BF, and wear this baby. We are basically AP, eat organic as often as possible and keep chemicals out of our home. Oh - and we are planning a homebirth. So anything that you experienced Mamas think of given that information I would love to have! Anything but infant sized prefolds, which we have in spades.

For Me:
Size XL maternity clothes
Maya wrap size M
Hi mamas! OK, by now you should have all recieved a PM from me with your match mama's name and address. At this point, the only thing left to do is mail your package, and then wait for the fun to begin!! I know some of you may be mailing this week, but just a gentle reminder that all packages should be mailed no later than June 17, next Friday.

Also, FYI, my PM box is completely full and I don't want to delete any messages (just so I can be sure I matched everyone correctly) so if you do need it get in touch with me privately, please feel free to send me an email (I believe you can just click on my username and it will give that option).

So let's get this party started!!

Woo hoo! I like having motivation to break out the sewing machine. Hope to get my package in the mail by Monday, which means I get quality sewing time this weekend. Can't wait to hear what everyone gets. Is everyone going to post when they receive packages?

Does everyone reveal themselves (in note or whatever) in their packages or do we want to add to the suspense and post later who we sent our gifts to? I'm ok with either way.

I think we should definitely post when we get our goodies (with pictures if possible!)

Yay! This is fun!

Oh, I hadn't thought about when to reveal ourselves. Personally, I will send a little note along in the package letting my match mama know who I am. It might be easier that way, so that we can all thank our givers when we get stuff. Does anyone feel uncomfortable with that?

Oh yeah and posting thanks and pictures (in this thread) would be a great idea!
