MT has mentioned many time Selenium in addition to Vit C as being core for staying well.<br>
How much, how often, any particular formulation?

I put 1-2 Brazil nuts at the bottom of the blender when I make my smoothies. They are supposed to be high in selenium. (Don't know if it's enough to make up a deficiency, but you could google it.)

I dont know how much nor how often either. I just take a tablet once a week.<br><br>
So far this preggo body has avoided all the nasty bugs going around <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"><br><br>

Adult dose 200 mcg of selenium per day. I've used Carlsons and Trace Minerals. Plan to have increased body odor for a few days to a month as your body detoxes and you clear some things.

Should more be taken when fighting off flu or in preventive stage?<br>
BO -- I'm in trouble!!!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> My deod crystal fell in the sink and broke into a thousand pieces this week. I haven't been out to the HFS to get another and my back up is NFB spray which really isn't as good at all.
