Hey everyone!!!

I am about 21 weeks pregnant with number 4.

I am really really horrified as I am starting to have pain of the pubic bone start whereas I didnt get it in my last pregnancy till I was past 8months pregnant. My first two pregnancies I did not even know there was such a thing.

Anyways, I need help dealing with it...I can't believe that there is no solution and I have to suffer up until I have my baby....I don't remember feeling the pain in delivery yet everyone says that it lasts even until after delivery but I guess everyone is different.

I have already three kids to take care and I can't imagine not being able to get around as I have soooo much to do...

Any advice would be appreciated.

ohh, i'm sorry--i feel for you. i am 32 weeks and have the same kind of ligament pain in my hips---though in the back, where they meet the sacrum due to a previous misalignment. I've been dreading the onset of it also in the front! It can be excriciating, esp at night and has changes the way i move for everything!

I've been seeing a chiropractor who does the Webster Technique for pregnant women. You might want to do a google search and see if it helps you.

I have this too. I started seeing a chiropractor also and it's helping. My hip was slightly rotated, so that, combined with the relaxin from pregnancy helping to relax everything out, I was in a lot of pain. I've been 3x so far, and although I'm not 100% better, I am a lot more comfortable. I didn't really expect to feel no pain this late in pregnancy anyway, but at least I can keep up with my daily tasks now.

Good luck!

Hugs, and ITFYP! My PSD started much earlier this time, too! I agree that chiro helps, but for me the relief is only temporary--I have to get adjusted at least every couple of weeks! There was another thread about this a couple days ago....lemme see if I can find it.... http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=381523

Might give you some ideas to try--the article I linked to is really helpful, IMO.

hang in there!

Well, great....thanks for all the info...so we just have to deal with it...yeah I will look for a chiropractor...

just wondering cuz they told me that my baby was breach and that coincides with the information I read on the plussize link from the other thread on this subject, how many others have this condition and their babies are breech?

I know its still early to worry about breech but ever since the midwife told me my baby was breech I have been worried and now that it goes with the info that I read on the psd stuff...I am really worried..

two kids--

i was worried about the breech thing also, but my babe is lined up just right at 32 weeks....has been at least since my last appt at 29 wks. You are still a bit early, as you know. In fact, my midwife had told me that we wouldnt even start doing any of the excercises till 32 (?) weeks if she had been breech----they are still turning so much!

good luck to you-one thing i heard was to always try to picture your babe head down when you imagine s/he!

Hmmmm, I wonder if that means for each subsequent pregnancy that you would have that pain...maybe its like once it happens once - u get it in all subsequent pregnancies....well hopefully this is my last pregnancy.

brooklyn lisa thanks for makin feel a bit better - I should just keep my mind off of it for now and try to picture the baby head down

MrsAngelic Glad to hear that the baby wasn't breach but you had the pain....hopefully others will chime in so we can get a better picture.

my dd was not breech, never even flipped much after about 30 weeks. Moved alot, of course, but no big position changes. Of course, I'm short, and she was over 9 lbs, so she didn't have a lot of room to do too many acrobatics.

This babe has also been head-down since about 30 weeks, and pretty low, so I don't s/he will be doing too much exciting stuff from here on out. I'm about 37 weeks now.

I've been curious/slightly concerned that I may have the PSD with all future pregnancies, too....and I do hope to have more children--many more! I need to do more research about it and see if there is some way to prevent and better manage the pain from the very start. I'm not in great physical shape, and I'm sure that contributes--not saying it causes it, but being in good physical shape helps just about everything, LOL!

So, I'm hoping to get my butt in gear when this babe is a few months old, so that I will be healthy and stronger before my next pregnancy.
