We are fostering to adopt a dog. Britta is 2yrs old, beagle/lab mix and she is a great dog. We are working on commands and the seperation anxiety by going away and coming back (out the door and come right back) etc but wonderd if letting her sleep with us and sit next to us, is making her SA worse.

I really don't mind her being in bed or on the couch but I also want to help her SA.

Any advice?

I honestly haven't found that it made much difference one way or the other for my SA dog.

If you're working with a trainer that you trust I would ask their opinion - things can look different in person that over the internet where we often don't have the full picture.
