OK, I know I need to be set straight on lots of things, but for now let's just stick with washing wool. :LOL I need to lanolize every time I wash since I'm using the Lansinoh/baby wash method, right? But if I were using lanolin rich soap/wash I wouldn't need to? I think I'm this close to "getting it"!

technically you dont NEED to lanolize every wash... but lanolize every time it needs it. Depending on your wash method, some needs lanolized every wash, some can go for months and months without a full lanolization (especially if you are using a lanolizing wool wash like WOW). If your covers start leaking thats a clear indication you need to lanolize

I use baby soap and lansinoh for my wool, and I don't lanolize every time. I use just a bit of soap and soak my wool to dissolve food stains, then rinse and dry. But when I do lanolize, I use a LOT, so it doesn't wash away.
