This back pain when I wake up is too much, again this morning I feel like I'm going to die. It's in my ribs and down my back. The bottom right of my bump hurts again to.

The OB said it was "normal" but I just don't buy it cause people would be booked for their induction at 37 weeks routinely if this was "normal".

I just don't know what more I can take. Severe pain for a few hours every day is too much, KWIM? And sleeping is hell. I've got all the right pillows in the right spots. New bed, there isn't much more to do, KWIM?

And why would I have pain in my ribs?

If this is "normal" anyone else have this?? Is there ANYTHING I can do?

I'm so sorry you're in so much pain. I don't have any experience like this, but I would get myself to a reputable chiropractor ASAP and maybe throw in a visit to acupuncturist for good measure.

Feel better, mama.

You have pain in your ribs because all your guts are being pushed up underneath them. Are your ribs just sore, or is it a tight pain where when you breathe in you get a sharp pain in your ribs? Soreness in the ribs is very common. I've been in major pain in my ribs for months now (my torso is short and I ran out of room a while ago). But I'm thinking if your upper back is hurting along with your ribs, it might be that you have something misaligned and pinched in your upper back. The only solution to that is a chiropractor. Trust me, it's worth paying out of pocket for. Medical doctors will only prescribe you pain killers to cover up the pain... but the pain won't ever really go away if you don't deal with the problem. KWIM? I hope you can find a good one in your area. I've been to both good and bad ones... so it's kinda hit and miss sometimes. But trying asking if they regularly deal with pregnant patients and children.

Trust me, getting out of pain is worth the cost!

The ache durng the day could be normal but when I first get up it's like I'm dying. not muscle, def. feels in the bone somehow

It could just be from your guts being pushed up under your ribs... that's been hurting me a lot. But yeah, the back pain is definitely something to see a chiro about. See if you can find one with Rave reviews in your area.

I get pain in my ribs from sleeping weird and them popping out of alignment. The chiropractor just pops them back in once a week. My other back pains are solve by those once a week adjustments and a massage too.

Our insurance covers the chiro and massage. It is so awesome! I haven't felt this good in years. Before I'd only go to the chiropractor sporadically, like when I was really, really hurting and it was basically already too late. Once a week has been heaven and my back is thanking me (and our insurance ).

I had back pain so bad I literally couldn't walk. I've started seeing a chiro and it has helped so much! I still get kinks and stuff, but most of the pain is gone.

No expert, but it could be related to you gall bladder, or gall stones. I believe my wife is suffering from this as well. It is suppose to be very common amoung pregnant woman.

I really feel for her because she hasn't been able to get a good nights sleep in months.

You can try reducing fatty foods in you diet and see if it makes any difference.

I hope your able to get some relief.
