Been there, with my first I had them all the time. Are they mild enough you can ignore them if you try to distract yourself? You might want to check just to be sure there's no cervical change from all of those, wouldn't want it to turn out to be preterm labor just spread out over days. You are drinking water, good, you might want to try an extra mineral supplement too sometimes that helps.

The rule of thumb is if you're having four or more painful contractions in an hour, you should notify your health care provider or go in to L&D. I'm not referring to the contractions that go away with an increase in fluids and rest.

Normally I'll bet that's excellent advice, but for some of us strong contractions daily are the norm, and don't produce any cervical change. Just confirming it casually with a self-check or quick midwife visit might be enough, and once you realize it's just your pattern (in my experience) it can be ok to ignore it and just relax through them and chug water. I'd be in L&D daily if professional checking was always needed, only to find no change and be sent home. Had it from 13 weeks until 41 with my first, and from 33 weeks on this time around.

I was having a lot of bh contractions as well and I stopped drinking RRL until after the 37th week. I started drinking it as soon as I felt comfortable with delivering. Keep drinking lots of water!

I've had a lot, and I have really been trying to cut back on my activity level, rest and drink lots of water and that is helping.

All day and I'd suggest a visit to your midwife just to get checked.

I am sorry you are going through this.
I am almost 29 weeks and have been in the same boat for a couple of weeks now.
They are also very painful - and I have tried being in labour 5 times before...

My midwife said I have "irritable uterus" and from what other moms have said here, she seems to be right.
Basically, resting every time the contractions start and drinking lots of fluids is what you should do.
Also, many people recommended taking magnesium daily, and one person recommended taking a little of liquid calcium (with magnsium in it) every time you feel the contractions. I have not tried either yet, but will go out to buy it today.

I second the calcium/magnesium and I also took cramp bark tincture and an omega 3,6,9 for irritable uterus and PTL with DS2.

I also had way more BH with my fourth baby. It seemed like every time I stood up or bent over or sneezed or had to pee or did anything, my uterus objected. I don't know if it is related or not, but that was also the first pregnancy where I had real contractions before I was in real labour.

My MW also suggested this can be made worse by mineral imbalances. She recommended Cal and Mag but actually to take them a separate times of day. she also said an emergen-c in my water can help, can calm them pretty quickly. Also plenty of fluids. I was having these and they seemed to be exercise/exertion-induced around mid-20s too. It did get much better once I got onto a more regimented supplement schedule (though it was a pain).
