I've had this recurrent stomach pain my whole life, though sometimes years will go by where I don't have it at all and other times I seem to get it once or twice a month. I've seen doctors about it but they don't EVER seem to know anything about anything unless it's clear-cut.
The pain is equivalent to labor pain, and in fact comes almost like contractions, stronger and stronger over time (with minutes in between bursts of pain) until I don't think I can take it anymore and the pain hits a peak and then slowly dies down over the next 12 hours or so. The pain is in the middle of my stomach and my stomach does feel bloated a bit, and basically I feel like I've been kicked in the stomach by a horse the next day. If I make myself throw up, it seems to help a little temporarily and all that comes out is an almost flourescent yellow liquid (sorry for the details). All I can do is pace and sort of bend forward, it hurts more to lie down, and I swear I'm going to die when the pain reaches it's peak.

I have always thought maybe it's connected to something I eat but I can't ever make that connection. I am not particularly stressed out most of the time either. I've tried Tums, laxatives, hot and cold compresses, just about everything. Nothing helps. This kind of pain can't be good, and I've gone through natural childbirth and found it easier (maybe because I know what the pain is from) than this thing.

I'm really desperate now because I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I've had this stomach thing happen twice since becoming pregnant, and it seems like I can feel it coming on again today. The last episode I had was so bad I was begging for it to stop, to die, I couldn't take anymore. I'm hoping someone out there has had similar symtoms and can suggest help, please?

maybe a gallbladder attack? I have gall stones and when I get attacks it sounds similar to what you are describing. Have you ever had an ultrasound done of your abdomen?

I've had something similar. In fact, when my dd was about 3 months old, I got stomach pains so bad in the middle of the night, we started packing her up to take me to the hospital. I thought they were worse than labor pains and I started having fears that my uterus ruptured or something (I know that makes no sense but I wasn't thinking logically from all the pain). I actually think it was gas. How crazy is that? I took one of those gas tablets (or maybe a Mylanta with simethicone - I can't remember) and I started feeling better just as we were about to leave for the hospital. I think getting up and moving helped a bit too.
