Hi ladies,

I'm planning to make a couple of ring slings: one with some bargain dupioni silk I picked up on ebay, and the other with some leftover organic interlock from another project.

My question is about choosing the appropriate rings for each sling. What material would work best with each fabric (aluminum, nylon, etc), and what size do you recommend?

I'm guessing that the rings that would work best with the lighter dupioni will be different from the rings for my heavy, stretchy interlock. My chief considerations would be practicality and safety.

Thanks,
Jennifer
PS This is a cross-post from the sew, serge, embroider forum. I wasn't sure where the best place to post this question was, so please forgive me if I've violated BB etiquette, it was not my intention . . .

I agree to read the info at sling rings.
But offheand I'd say aluminum for both-esp the dupioni. Med rings for the silk and maybe large for the interlock-depends on how thick it is-you don't want it to slip but you want to be able to adjust it fairly easily too.
