I'm still trying to find a detergent that doesn't interact with hemp and urine negatively but also cleans and doesn't make ds's penis red. I love Tide on our clothes because it is a work horse, but everything I've read says that enzymes in the Tide interact negatively with hemp and urine. But now I read in a different post today here that Arm & Hammer Free (which I used for a while until it ran out and I bought scented) can also irritate his penis.

Does anyone have experience with Shaklee Basic H or Basic L for diaper laundry? It too says it contains enzymes ... why is this so difficult sometimes?

I use about 2 tbs of basic h and about 1/8 c wind fresh detergent (from sams club).

I think? Windfresh is free of enzymes and seems to be effectively unscented. It doesn't clean terribly well on its own but works really well paired w/the basic h.

I'm brand new to cloth diapering but wanted to chime in and say how much I LOVE Shaklee basic L!

(and their germicide too but don't use that for washing dipes yet)
