I am making a shawl. For row one, starting right after the cast on, it tells me to knit to last 2 stitches, increase 1 stitch, knit 1. Doesn't that leave one stitch left? So is it just assumed that I knit that last stitch? Am I misreading something? TIA!

Here is the pattern (from http://www.tahkistacycharles.com/fre...s/gioiello.pdf ):

Cast on 18 sts.
Row 1 (right side) Slip 1 stitch, increase 1 stitch, knit to last 2 stitches, increase 1 stitch, knit 1.
Row 2 (wrong side) Slip 1 stitch, purl to end of row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until there are 100 stitches, ending with a row 2.
Front points
Next row (right side) Slip 1, knit 43 and place these 44 stitches onto holder; bind off 12 stitches, knit remaining 44 stitches. For left point work as follows:
i think they mean to knit in front and back of the stitch before the last stitch .. since there's more than one way to do an increase, they should specify that.
