Dd has been doing really really well with her eating. She has significant allergies, EOS, and a weak gag reflex with some reflux to go with it. However, in the last month she has made some HUGE gains!! A month ago she was vomitting 2-3 times/day!!! Everytime that a meal was about to start I felt that impending sense of doom. She was eating only pureed foods....and I was feeding them all to her. Today she fed herself and this is what she ate:

Breakfast: yogurt, 1/2 piece of toast, and 1/2 banana
Lunch: Jr. Roast beef (from Arby's), mandarin oranges, and a piece of cheese
Dinner: Spaghetti with meat sauce, peas, and a piece of garlic toast

AMAZING!!! I just had to share because #1 No one else really understands how huge this is except others that have gone through it. #2 I want to give hope for those on this journey. Next week we could be back to square one....but, for now I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and I am doing the happy dance !

Yay!!! My ds only has minor eating issues, and I know how thrilled I am when he eats something new, so I can only guess how thrilled you must be! Go Emma!

was she tube fed?

No, she has never been tube fed. She has always taken enough formula/pureeds by mouth to "get her by"....although she threw up so much of it I'm not sure how she maintained or gained weight.
