I realize that someone else posted a similar story so I apologize if someone of this is repeated.

I worked really hard to get my LO used to taking a bottle at about 8 weeks and she was great till about a month ago. Now she just straight refuses, screams louder than I've ever heard her scream if you bring a bottle with in 6 inches of her. We were using the breastflow bottles and now those are the ones she's refusing. She's 4 months now and will be 5 when I return to work. My thoughts now are to just skip this bottle business and go straight to a cup (she'll be staying home with DH and he's more than happy to do whatever it takes to help the LO eat). Does anyone have any pointers on helping her learn to use a cup? Is there anything I need to be mindful of? Is she too young for me to be trying this?

My 7 month old grandson has come to live with me, mom and dad too. We live in Tucson and it has already been 97 degrees, it is the desert. I've tried teaching him to drink cold water out of a variety of cups and it just ends up all over him. A spoon hasn't work either. My grandson and I may be not doin' right and other babies can do it.

If you stop trying all bottles now and then come up with a bottle that looks new when you have gone back to work maybe she will take it.

Since she will be 5 months solids could be a possibility. Lots of experts recommend 4-6 months.
