anyone ever get one for their dc to sleep on? I just got one, but am interested to hear the experiences of others. also, how crucial do you think it is that i put a sheet over it? it's wonderfully soft...
I got it on amazon, and you are right, they are pretty expensive...just shows you how desperate I am for a little rest! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> It was like $75.
My twins sleep on one and LOVE IT!! Mine is a Bowron. I got lucky and picked mine up thrift shopping<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/winky.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> Yes normally is Expensive!
I want one, but having living on a sheep ranch in New Zeleand, I know the kinds of chemicals used to cure the skins, so getting one that is organic is important to me. An organic skin, in my research, was about 300 bucks. I'd LOVE to get one though. It's on DD's christmas list.
We have one and love it. I absolutely never put a sheet on it. I think that kind of ruins the point! I love that my tummy-sleeper could be face down on it and still breathe through the fibers.<br><br>
I was lucky and got it as a baby shower present. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
Make sure you get the special sheepskin wash for it, though - do NOT use Woolite or regular detergent!
