I started out with the goal of nursing for one year. Everyone thought I was crazy - after all, nobody nurses for THAT long! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/rolleyes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="rolleyes"> Here we are at 3 years with no signs of stopping.<br><br>
I am starting to wonder if she ever will stop. I have no intentions of stopping her, but I'm starting to wonder. She still nurses 3, sometimes 4 times a day, and whenever she wants to at night (at least twice). Does/did anyone else's child nurse this much at this age? Am I doing this right?

Happy 3 years to both of you!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/birthday.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="birthday">:<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/fly-by-nursing1.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Fly By Nursing1"><br>
My son was nursing right around that if not more at 3. Now he is 4.5 years and it has cut down to about... 1 time at wake up, 1 time during the day, 1 at bed time and then at night at least 2 times.<br><br>
Sounds like you are doing everything perfect!<br>
Let your heart and lil one lead the way.<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/luxlove.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="throb">

Congratulations! That's wonderful!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/thumb.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="thumbs up"><br><br>
My little girl turned 3 on April 20th. She nurses a few times a day:<br><br>
- when she first wakes up<br>
- around lunch time (occasionally)<br>
- before she goes to bed<br>
- 1-2X at night<br><br>
Like you, I had no idea we'd be going this long. All the best...
