"The alcoholic extract of fresh shepard's purse is quite effective for stopping bloody fluxes and hemorrhages. It is specific to chronic menorrhagia and endometriosis with frequent of prolonged menstruation or when discharge is practically constant and colorless. It is also used by midwives for postpartum bleeding. Finally it is effective as a treatment for urinary inflammations such as cystitis"
