My shoe size did not really change after my first pregnancy EXCEPT FOR my wonderful, totally broken in, expensive hiking boots that I've had for years . They are just a tad too tight now, and they gave me big blisters on our last long hike.

Before I go out and spend a lot of money on a second pair, I need to know if my foot size and/or shape could change yet again after this second pregnancy. Has anyone had that happen?

my feet did...and i feel for ya!

before i was pregnant with dd i worked at an outdoor store in town proformed a beautiful pair of la sportivas that were supposed to be $200+. they don't fit the way they used to. i brought them to a cobbler who has a heat stretcher and that helped, but they aren't the same.

when i found out i was pregnant this time, i vowed to keep hiking and backpacking throughout the pregnancy. i went out and bought a pair of montrails at the rei scratch and dent sale. they will probably be too big once my feet go back to normal (if they ever go back to what they were), but they have been great.

so, i would opt to get some cheaper, comfy boots for the short term...and invest in a good pair a year or two after you're done having babies.
